Honeycrisp
Honeycrisp is crisp and juicy with a sweet but well balanced flavor. Ripening in mid-September, this University of MN apple has an excellent shelf life and will last up to 7 months with correct storage.
Sweet Sixteen
The Sweet Sixteen is a medium size, red striped apple with a crisp juicy texture and sweet candy like flavor. A great dessert apple, this U of M apple ripens in mid to late September.
First Kiss®
This apple is a U of M creation crossing an early bloomer of theirs with a Honeycrisp. The First Kiss® is crisp and tart and will keep you coming back for more. Ranging in size from 2-3”, it will be ready for harvest early on in September.
Haralson
The Haralson is a red, medium size fruit, hard, crisp and tart. It is a late bloomer, ripening in early October. This U of M apple is a Minnesota favorite and will keep in cool storage until March.
Zestar!™
Zestar!™ is best known for its sweet, tart flavor. It is an excellent fresh eating and cooking apple. This U of M apple is ripe and ready as soon as late August.
Chestnut Crab
This large 2” in diameter crabapple has great flavor and good texture for fresh eating. It ripens in late August and has a medium length storage life.
Dolgo Crab
Popular for pollination, this brilliant crimson fruit makes a wonderful jelly ripening in July to early August.
SweeTango®
The UofM cross between the Honeycrisp and Zestar!™ produced the very popular SweeTango®. This medium to large size, very flavorful, crisp and juicy apple is deep red in coloring.
